EMILY BROSTEN

CANDIDATE FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 68, 2020

I’m a Montanan, raised by a family of hard workers, thinkers, entrepreneurs, and creatives.

I understand that there are kind and intelligent people who don’t believe the same things I do. I never want my political biases to override the opportunity for someone to share their thoughts with me. I never want to dismiss what someone has to say because we don’t identify with the same political party. We don’t need radicalization, we need rationality. Defusing our conversations about politics is crucial for our current social climate and it's important for me to share that.

2020 Campaign Platform

Public Land + Rural Communities

  • Growing up on a farm, I learned how to grow, catch, and harvest food. I have a deep respect for the land and understand our collective responsibility to maintain it.

Job Opportunities + Healthcare

  • We face the integral challenge of ensuring economic opportunity and financial sustainability for all. I know what it's like to not be able to afford health insurance. It’s my goal to create a community where we all have career opportunities that provide affordable healthcare plans–while continuing to live in a place we love.

Affordable Housing + Growth Planning

  • As our community develops, it’s important to guide growth through responsible infrastructure and regulation that makes sense economically.
